A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody misspells it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a typographical error. The disadvantage of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam email messages, but this problem can be rectified by using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also crucial to know that a mailbox with an active catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound email messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be very easy in case you have a Linux website hosting with us. You can activate this option through our powerful, yet simple-to-use Email Manager tool, which is integrated into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer your account. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have created displayed alphabetically and next to each of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously notify you if a specific mailbox gets all the email messages for a given domain or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this option whenever you wish. If there is enabled email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain, you’ll get a notification from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than a click if you have a semi-dedicated service with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the email addresses that you set up using any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable this option will be to click that icon. In the exact same manner you’ll be able to turn off the feature, in case you don’t need it anymore. Our system will let you know in case you are trying to enable a 2nd catch-all mailbox for a given domain or in case there is enabled email forwarding, but it’ll never modify or deactivate any feature automatically and without your consent.
